RAA hosts painting demonstration

The Ridge Art Association (RAA) will host Patricia Bock on Sunday, March 8, at 1 p.m. Bock will show her watercolor painting process.

Bock is a member of the LaGrange Art League, Transparent Watercolor Society of America and the McCord House Gallery.

Attend the painting session as a guest, for $3 per person, if just to learn about the RAA and meet some interesting people who do appreciate great art. Membership is $30 for a season.

Warm fellowship and a relaxed atmosphere prevailed at the Feb. 8 meeting when a member of the Oil Painters of America, award-winning artist and art instructor Beth Leahy, painted a still life of grapes. She walked her audience through the entire process of her creative style. Like all other guest artists painting for the RAA by invitation, Leahy will donate her finished still life to the RAA. Members of the RAA will have the privilege to win her art piece in a lottery drawing during the closing session of the RAA season in May.(...)
